TN50#172_Longevity, A Working Definition _5 August_2024

Hi Team,

Early August finds me coming in hot after a couple weeks of travel, fired up and full steam ahead with more incredible opportunities over the next few weeks.  With that in mind TN50’s may be on the lighter side of content for the next few weeks.  I hope everyone’s summer is going great and I’d love to hear about any of your adventures over the hottest season.  Speaking of seasons, how do you picture that final season of life, here on planet earth, going for you?  Do you have a plan

Happy Monday and welcome to The Next 50 #172. I like to think of personal performance in 3 components: physical, mental and emotional.  My frameworks focus on 4 Buckets: Eat, Sleep, Move and Think.  This blog is my sandbox for sharing information that you might find useful for your personal performance.

Peter Attia has put out a podcast that defines “longevity”.  This podcast is the best introduction to the concept of longevity that I’ve heard.  Here’s the link:

Not only does Peter provide an excellent definition of longevity that includes equal parts, lifespan (how long you live) and health span (how capable you are).  He also briefly covers:
